Centre for Play Therapy and Training

Uylenvlei Retreat is also the home/base of the Centre for Play Therapy and Training and closely connected to the Institute for Child, Youth and Family Studies. The Retreat offers an excellent conference venue and training for professionals in various fields of child, youth and family issues, evenings full of culture, music and entertainment for smaller groups. Children, especially the psychologically and emotionally damaged child, are very important to us. We train professionals, nationally and internationally, to intervene and heal these children through play therapy to communicate emotions, feelings, experiences and behaviour.
