ROUTE FROM CAPE TOWN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (ABOUT 160 KM):

1. From Cape Town Airport: Take the N2 to Somerset West. Continue with N2, climb and descend Sir Lowry´s Pass, drive past Grabouw and Elgin. Climb and descend Houwhoek Pass (part of N2).
2. At Botrivier, leave N2 and take turn off to Hermanus (R43). Drive through Hermanus to Stanford and Gansbaai. Pass Stanford and continue with R43 to Gansbaai. Drive through Gansbaai and continue with R43.
3. 7 Km after Gansbaai: Turn left to Elim, Baardskeerdersbos. Continue with Elim road for 7km. You will get a turn off to the left with sign De Uilenes. Take the turn off (gravel road) for 1 km, pass De Uilenes and the next farm on your right Uylenvlei Retreat.

ROUTE FROM SWELLENDAM (ABOUT 145 KM):

1. Drive west on the N2 from Swellendam to Riviersonderend.
2. Continue with N2 through Riviersonderend for about 15 km. You will get a turn off to the left to Hermanus and Stanford (R326). Take the turn off and continue with the R326 till you get to Stanford.
3. At the stop, you turn left on the R43 to Gansbaai. Continue on the R43 to Gansbaai and then follow the directions as in the description above.
